David C. King is the CEO of FogHorn Systems, the leader in edge intelligence software for Industrial IoT. Prior to joining FogHorn, David co-founded AirTight Networks, Inc., a technology leader in secure cloud-managed Wi-Fi, where he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2004-2015, leading the company through four successful up rounds of venture capital funding. Prior to AirTight, he served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Proxim Inc., a pioneer in WLANs and the first publicly traded Wi-Fi company, from 1993-2002. David led Proxim through a successful IPO in December 1993 and 20x revenue growth as a public company during his tenure as CEO. Before Proxim, David served as Vice President of Marketing and Customer Service for Vitalink Communications Corp., an early leader in wide area networking from December 1990 to November 1992. Prior to Vitalink, he was a senior manager and a practice leader in both the high technology and healthcare practices of McKinsey & Company from 1985 to 1990. In addition to his board positions at AirTight and Proxim, he served on the boards of Netopia, Inc., Cayman Systems and Mobilestar Inc., all pioneering companies in the broadband access and networking industries. David holds an BA in Economics, as well as MBA and JD degrees, all from Harvard University.
As CTO of FogHorn, Sastry is responsible for and oversees all technology and product development. Sastry is a results driven technology executive with deep technology and management experience of over two and half decades. His areas of expertise include developing, leading and architecting various highly scalable and distributed systems, in the areas of Big Data, SOA, Micro Services Architecture, Application Servers, Java/J2EE/Web Services middleware, and cloud Computing to name a few.
Prior to joining FogHorn as CTO, Sastry was Chief Architect of StubHub, an eBay company where he led the technology architecture transformation and also spearheaded the Big Data initiatives and data driven decisions. Sastry was also a key technology executive at eBay that lead the technology re-platforming effort from its monolithic architecture to the distributed, and scalable service oriented architecture that it is today enabling the business growth. Prior to joining eBay, Sastry was co-founder and CTO of OpenGridSolutions, Founding member and Architect at SpikeSource, and an Architect at Oracle. Sastry has also worked at many other companies in his career early on.
Sastry frequently speaks at many technology conferences, contributed to many standards and has several patents under his belt. He holds a Masters degree from I.I.T, Kharagpur, India.
Yuta heads APAC Operations and Product Marketing at FogHorn Systems and is one of the original members of the FogHorn team. He has a deep understanding of Industrial IoT and Fog Computing across many different industrial and commercial verticals and is an experienced business development manager who established many key relationships with global industrial companies. Prior to joining FogHorn, Yuta worked at Cisco Systems where he bootstrapped the new IoT Division by leading product management and strategic industrial partner relationships to drive the company’s industrial IoT vision, strategy, and execution from 2011-2014. Before he co-founded the IoT Division, Yuta served as Senior Manager of Product Management responsible for Cisco’s core enterprise portfolio.
Dave Koberstein is responsible for successful integrations and deployments of partner and customer architectures and solutions. Dave has 30 years of experience managing engineering, product management and field engineering teams for pioneering Internet and wireless infrastructure companies both large and small. As VP of Product Line Management in prior roles, Dave managed priorities, schedules and roadmap for 100 projects, eight product lines and three product categories worth $115M/Y in revenues and $5M/Q in engineering investment, with responsibility for COGs and product performance of all company products.In a prior executive roles across HP, Proxim, Tribal Shout, Mojix and Fastback Networks, he led various teams including customer engineering services, sales engineering, OEM services, regulatory compliance, IT and software QA. Dave holds a BS ECE and BS Mathematics degrees from the University of Wisconsin and an MSEE degree from Ohio State University.
Kevin Duffy, Vice President of Business Development, has more than twenty five years of experience in developing and monetizing advanced telecommunications and networking technologies for inventive early stage and growth companies. Most recently he was the co-founder and CEO of Fastback Networks, a pioneer in high performance 4G/5G mobile backhaul. Prior to that he was the SVP of Sales and Marketing for Mojix, responsible for the go to market and monetization of leading edge RFID solutions for retail, oil and gas, manufacturing and other industrial sectors. He has also held positions with Proxim (CEO) a public company where he led the company’s pioneering efforts in the convergence of new technologies, including wireless LAN, cellular backhaul, and multipoint access systems; Siemens (VP, GM) where he introduced a wide array of products to North America; Nortel (Systems Integration Manager) and Tracor Aerospace (Test Engineer). He also served four years of active duty in the US Air Force. Kevin is a graduate of the University of Texas with a BS Computer Science.
Ramya heads Product Management at FogHorn. She brings a rare combination of technical expertise in real time analytics, machine learning and AI, combined with valuable experience in Industrial IoT. She is a seasoned product leader who previously headed Cisco’s Streaming Analytics platform for IoT as a Senior Product Line Manager. In that role she was responsible for developing key industrial alliances, product strategy & vision, and identifying use cases with flagship customers for the then nascent IIoT domain. She was also handpicked by the Executive Leadership team to lead the agile transition of an 28,000 strong engineering workforce across different global sites.Ramya has a PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
As VP of Finance, Michael Hutchinson is responsible for all finance, operations and administration matters for Foghorn. Mike joined Foghorn in January 2018 with over 25 years of experience in high-growth startups and publicly traded companies. Prior to Foghorn, Mike was CFO of GainSpan Corp., aVC-back semiconductor company focused on wifi solutions for the IOT market. Prior to GainSpan, Mike was Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller for Vocera Communications, Inc., where he established and led the finance and accounting operations to scale revenues from $3M to $100M+, culminating in a successful IPO in March 2012. Mike also spent 3 years leading sales and service operations as Managing Director for Vocera’s UK subsidiary. Previously, Mike led finance organizations at start-ups Euclid Network Solutions and Homewarehouse.com, and served in financial management roles for 3Com Corp., PriceWaterhouseCoopers and KPMG Peat Marwick. Mike holds an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA and BS Accounting and BS Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University.
As Vice President of Marketing for FogHorn, Keith is responsible for all brand, public relations, analyst relations and demand generation, along with channel and direct sales enablement functions. Keith brings over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience with high growth companies in emerging markets, holding senior marketing, sales and BD roles throughout his career. Keith’s track record includes a history of value creation with 6 companies achieving IPOs/acquisitions totaling over $12B.Prior to joining Foghorn, Keith was Chief Marketing officer at RiskVision through its acquisition in October, 2017. Keith was also CMO at Symphony Teleca Corporation (STC), playing an instrumental role in helping the company double its revenues organically and inorganically in less than 3 years, resulting in one of the largest services acquisitions in recent history by Harman. Before STC, Keith was SVP of Marketing at Aricent, and has held senior sales and marketing positions at StrataCom, Cisco, and Copper Mountain Networks. Keith is a frequent industry speaker and content contributor, and holds a BSBA in Marketing from The Ohio State University.
Greg heads the Data Science Solutions (DSS) group, providing data mining and big data consulting services for FogHorn Systems clients. Greg has over 26 years of experience in data mining, deploying 90+ models for clients in North America, South America and Europe. He has also architected and prototyped the automated data mining for six enterprise or SaaS applications solving a specific business problem. His approach is to deeply understand the vertical application and job function to be supported by the AI system, using the business values and constraints to drive the analytics. He has been working at the director level since 2010. In the past, he has managed a team and portfolio of models for fraud protection of $80B of consumer transactions a year, over 1,400 financial institutions. He has been working with big data streaming systems since 2013. Greg has is MS in Computer Science from Western Michigan University.

David joined FogHorn Systems as the company CEO in 2015. Prior to FogHorn, he served as Chairman and CEO of AirTight Networks, a global leader in wireless security and compliance solutions and the top ranking vendor in all four of Gartner’s wireless security market assessments.Prior to AirTight, David was the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Proxim, the pioneering leader in wireless local area networking. He took the company public on NASDAQ in December 1993, making Proxim the world’s first publicly traded WLAN company. Before Proxim, David was Vice President of Marketing and Customer Services at Vitalink Communications and was also a senior manager in McKinsey’s San Francisco office, where he played a leadership role in the firm’s high technology and health care practices. David holds an BA in Economics, as well as JD and MBA degrees, all from Harvard University.
T.M. Ravi—The Hive
T. M. Ravi is a co-founder of FogHorn and also Managing Director and Co-founder of The Hive which works with entrepreneurs to help create businesses that leverage data.
Ravi has a successful track record as a serial entrepreneur and operational executive. Prior to The Hive, he served as CMO for Iron Mountain and was founder and CEO of Mimosa Systems which was acquired by Iron Mountain. Before Mimosa, Ravi was founder and CEO of Peakstone Corporation and VP of Marketing at Computer Associates (CA), which he joined through the $1.2 billion acquisition of Cheyenne Software where he was the VP of the company’s successful Windows NT business. Prior to Cheyenne, Ravi founded and was CEO of Media Blitz, a provider of Windows NT storage solutions that was acquired by Cheyenne Software.
Ravi earned an MS degree and his PhD in Computer Science from UCLA and a Bachelors of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, India. He also serves on the board of Capacitor, a San Francisco-based dance and circus group as well as the Montalvo Art Center based in Saratoga, California.
Sumant Mandal—March Capital
Sumant Mandal, a partner at March Capital, has 12-years of technology investment experience, and has generated multiple meaningful exits in companies he has either incubated or been the first institutional investor. Sumant has supported numerous companies’ attainment of market dominance, including The Rubicon Project (NYSE:RUBI), the world’s largest display advertising company, and BillDesk, India’s leading electronic payments company. Other investments include Kazeon Systems (acquired by EMC), Mimosa Systems (acquired by Iron Mountain), Ankeena Networks (acquired by Juniper), Cetas (acquired by VMware), and Apture (acquired by Google).
In addition to co-founding March Capital Partners, Sumant co-founded two leading technology incubators in the San Francisco Bay Area, The Hive and The Fabric. There, Sumant has supported numerous projects in the sectors of Big Data, Cloud Computing, Advertising, Network Infrastructure, and Storage, and sits on the boards of numerous Hive and Fabric incubated companies. In 2000, Sumant joined Clearstone Venture Partners where he went on to become a Managing Director in 2004. He represents Clearstone on the boards of The Rubicon Project, BillDesk, Games2win, Clearfly Networks, and Glossi.com. Prior to venture capital, Sumant was an entrepreneur and co-founder of numerous technology businesses.
Sumant received his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.
Jamie Montgomery is a co-founder of March Capital Partners, and has 19-years of growth stage technology investment experience with multiple successful exits achieved. He was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Montgomery & Co, a leading Los Angeles-based investment bank for the support of technology focused growth stage companies.Jamie is a recognized industry expert in high technology industries and markets, and has advised leading global, media, communications, and technology companies regarding industry consolidation, new market entry, divestitures, strategic alliances and capital formation. Mr. Montgomery has also been a seed investor in a range of successful software, technology, internet, biotechnology and communications companies. He is also founder of The Montgomery Summit which gathers leading investors, corporate executives and entrepreneurs in Santa Monica every March.Jamie and his family are active philanthropists and volunteers. They support a wide range of organizations with a focus on education, technology and child welfare.
Michael Dolbec leads investments for GE Digital and is focused on the industrial internet, big data, machine learning, IoT and cyber security. Mike’s current investments include: Predixion, Maana, Ayasdi, Mocana, DataTorrent and ServiceMax. Mike joined GE from LG Electronics, where he led venture capital and open innovation activities. Prior to that, Mike led corporate venture capital groups at Orange, 3Com, and IBM. Earlier, he co-founded an award-winning mobile internet startup which was sold to Earthlink.Mike began his investment career at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Greylock. His previous investments include: Juniper, Extreme, Epigram (acquired by Broadcom), Macromind (later Macromedia, acquired by Adobe), Trilogy, and Netezza. He has held operating positions in research, software engineering, sales, marketing, business development and M&A.Mike began his career at Xerox PARC. He holds an MBA from Wharton, as well as a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor’s in Biology from Stanford. He lives in Palo Alto, has two grown children, and is struggling to progress as a road cyclist.
